Get access to the husbandry

Persons requiring access to the LASC animal husbandries need to attend the LASC Access Rights course in OLAT, consisting of three modules:

  • iRATS (animal database) - online
  • Hygiene and Legal requirements - online
  • Practical introduction - on site at the animal husbandry

Register here: LASC Access Rights OLAT Course

Note: It is not allowed to enter the LASC animal husbandries before completing the introductory courses. Guests and visitors have to fill out the visitor form (available in German and English) at least 3 working days prior to their visit: Besucher*innen / Visitors

Am I allowed to perform animal experiments once I get access?

The introductory courses grant you access to the animal husbandries and do not automatically entitle you to perform animal experiments. To be allowed to perform animal experiments the qualifying course from the Laboratory Animal Science Institute (LTK) needs to be attended (so called Modul 1). Follow the link for more information on the courses the LTK offers: LTK list of courses
